Grow a Garden launched on the Roblox platform on March 26, 2025 and broke records almost immediately. By June it had surpassed Fortnite's all-time concurrent user peak of 15.3 million players. By August 23, 2025 it reached 22.3 million concurrent users, an all-time record for any video game, driven by a live admin event. GAG1 has surpassed 35 billion total visits as of mid-2026, making it one of the most-played games in Roblox history. Its successor, Grow a Garden 2, launched in June 2026 and reached hundreds of millions of visits within its first weeks.
Splitting Point Studios purchased a co-ownership stake in April 2025. Florida-based Do Big Studios holds a minority share. In November 2025, Story Kitchen, the production company behind the Sonic and Tomb Raider films, announced a Grow a Garden feature film in development.
With that scale comes a massive, active in-game economy. A Grow a Garden Calculator is a free browser tool that makes navigating that economy fast and accurate, computing exact Sheckle values for crops, evaluating trade fairness, and planning your farming strategy before you plant a single seed.
In 2026, mygagcalculator.com expanded to cover Grow a Garden 2 alongside the original, adding a sprinkler calculator, weather tracker, and event tracker for GAG2. Both games share the same site, so players never need to switch between different resources.
Grow a Garden 2 launched as a fully separate game in June 2026, not an update to GAG1. Both games run simultaneously and have separate economies, separate currencies, and separate crop rosters. Players can be active in either game at any time, and progress in one does not carry over to the other. The two titles share a visual style and a farming core, but the economic systems underneath are entirely distinct.
GAG2 uses Sheckles as currency rather than the coins system from GAG1. Crop sell prices in GAG2 scale with weight rather than applying flat base values, which means the same crop can sell for vastly different amounts depending on how heavy it is at harvest. A heavy Rosy Carrot can be worth several times more than a light one, making every weight-boosting decision count. This weight-first pricing model changes how players think about which seeds to plant and when to harvest, because maximizing weight becomes just as important as picking the right crop.
The size luck system is GAG2-exclusive and has no equivalent in GAG1. Size luck is a stat from 0 to 100 that shifts harvest weight into higher bands, specifically Small, Medium, Large, Huge, and Colossal, and raises the lucky double chance from 1% at 0 luck to 5% at 100 luck. Sprinklers are the primary source of size luck in GAG2. Each sprinkler tier contributes a fixed amount, and the total caps at 100, so stacking beyond that point is wasted. The GAG2 Sprinkler Calculator shows every combination and its resulting weight band probabilities.
GAG2 mutations work differently from GAG1. In GAG2, mutations are tied to active weather events during the growth phase rather than being applied passively at harvest. A crop can only carry one mutation at harvest, which removes the stacking strategies that define GAG1 farming. Mutation multipliers in GAG2 scale with crop weight, so a heavier crop with the same mutation sells for more than a lighter one. This is a fundamental shift from GAG1, where mutation value is independent of weight. The GAG2 Weather Tracker shows which events are live and which mutations are available in real time.
The Gear Shop in GAG2 restocks on a timer with random tier availability. Legendary Sprinklers restock at roughly 5% frequency, which makes timing Gear Shop visits a real strategic consideration. Missing a Legendary restock can mean waiting through several cycles before another one appears, and those cycles cost farming time. The GAG2 Event Tracker covers restock windows alongside limited-time events that affect crop availability and reward schedules, so players know exactly when to check the shop.
Every calculator is only as good as how accurately it replicates the game's official formula. The MyGaGCalculator uses the verified in-game formula exactly:
Here's a worked example. A Rainbow Dragon Fruit, 10 kg, with Shocked (×100) and Celestial (×120):
Weight has a disproportionate impact on final value. A single 10 kg crop is worth significantly more than ten separate 1 kg crops of the same type with identical mutations. This is why chasing heavier crops, not just rarer ones, is a core high-level strategy. Use the Weight Calculator to see exactly how much weight changes your bottom line before you sell.
Mutations are what separate a 200-Sheckle carrot from a crop worth billions. Each carries a numerical multiplier that stacks into the value formula. The maximum theoretical combined multiplier, stacking 60+ compatible mutations, has reached ×201,050 according to the Grow a Garden Fandom Wiki. If you're new to the mechanic, our What Does Mutation Do in Grow a Garden explainer breaks down the basics, and the full All Mutations in Grow a Garden master list covers every confirmed multiplier in one place.

GAG2 mutations work differently from GAG1. Instead of passive chance, mutations in GAG2 are tied directly to active weather events, meaning a crop can only pick up a mutation while the event is live. GAG2 also enforces a single-mutation rule, where each crop can carry only one mutation at harvest, so stacking is not possible. On top of that, mutation multipliers in GAG2 scale with crop weight rather than applying a flat multiplier, making sprinkler choice even more important. See how sprinklers interact with GAG2 mutations for the full breakdown.
Gear is one of the most underappreciated calculator inputs. Your equipment directly determines which mutations your crops can receive and how reliably you get them. All standard gear is purchased from Eloise at the Gear Shop, with stock refreshing every 5 minutes globally.

Size luck caps at 100 in GAG2, making the Rare plus Legendary combination the most cost-efficient path to maximum weight band output at 1,280,000 Sheckles versus 3,000,000 for a single Super Sprinkler.
| Item | Recipe | What It Does |
|---|---|---|
| Lightning Rod | Basic + Advanced + Godly + 500,000 ¢ (45 min craft) | Guarantees Shocked (×100) during Thunderstorms. No Lightning Rod equals chance only |
| Mutation Sprays | Cleaning Spray + event materials | Applies a specific mutation directly, bypassing weather dependency |
| Reclaimer | Common Egg + Harvest Tool | Single-use: turns planted crops back into seeds to protect them before a reset |
For a full breakdown of every gear item with costs, stats, and crafting recipes, check the complete Grow a Garden Gears List, which covers sprinklers, tools, and crafted gear all in one place. Gear also drives the special Blossom Crops mutation line, which scales with premium sprinkler tiers and certain event seeds.
The MyGaGCalculator is built around ten dedicated tools, all accessible from the sticky navigation bar at the top. No account, no download. Everything runs in your browser and saves automatically.
Friend Boost is one of the most impactful mechanics in the game, and one of the most overlooked. When friends are active in a garden server, sell value at Steven's Stand increases by up to 70%. A crop worth 500,000,000 Sheckles solo becomes worth 850,000,000 Sheckles at full boost, which is 350 million extra Sheckles from the exact same harvest with zero additional effort.
The Red Fox pet amplifies this further. Its Friendbound mutation carries a ×70 multiplier, but it only activates when friends are present. A Red Fox farming solo is effectively idle. With friends online, it becomes one of the highest-multiplier pets in the game. Timing a Blood Moon or Thunderstorm event with active friends and a Red Fox equipped can produce crop values orders of magnitude higher than the same setup without company.
WFL stands for Win / Fair / Loss, the community standard for evaluating whether a trade is equitable. Win means you receive more value than you give. Fair means both sides are roughly equal. Loss means you're giving away more than you're getting back.
The current GAG1 trading system was established by Patch 1.17.0 (the Trading & Cooking Update on August 2, 2025), which replaced the old trust-based gifting system with an official Trade Window. Both parties must confirm, values are shown in-window, and 1 Trading Ticket (100,000 ¢ or 19 Robux) is required per trade. This system has been the stable trading baseline for nearly a year and remains unchanged as of July 2026.
| Feature | Before Aug 2, 2025 | After Patch 1.17.0 |
|---|---|---|
| How trades work | Gifting only, trust-based | Official Trade Window, both must confirm |
| Scam risk | High, very common | Eliminated for standard in-game trades |
| Items tradeable | Anything giftable | Pets, crops, Sheckles. Seeds excluded |
| Cost to trade | Free | 1 Trading Ticket per initiation |
| Value visibility | None in-game | Both sides shown in Trade Window |
Pets apply mutations to crops over time, reduce egg hatch timers, and in some cases passively generate income. The separate Pet Calculator handles pet-specific calculations, including weight-based value projections. Use it alongside the main tool. The Weight Calculator shows exactly how pet-boosted weight impacts crop sell price. For the full breakdown of every pet's mutation ability, hatch timer, and effect radius, see the Pet Abilities Guide, and check the community-ranked Pet Tier List to see which pets are worth grinding for in the current meta.
| Pet | Mutation | Multiplier | Why It Matters |
|---|---|---|---|
| Red Fox | Friendbound | ×70 | Only activates with friends online, pairs directly with the Friend Boost slider |
| Disco Bee | Disco | Variable (stackable) | One of the most sought-after stackable environmental mutations |
| Blood Kiwi | Bloodlit | ×25 | Time egg hatch to coincide with Blood Moon for maximum impact |
| Queen Bee | Pet cooldown reduction | Passive | Amplifies your entire pet lineup's effective mutation rate |
| Dragonfly | Golden (crop variant) | ×20 | Reliable early-game source of Golden variant crops passively |
| Bald Eagle | Various | High | High-rarity; commonly used as Sheckle-equivalent trade currency |
| Raccoon | Steals Sheckles | Passive income | Generates Sheckles even when not actively farming |
| Owl | Pet XP boost | Passive | ×1.25 XP gain for all equipped pets when active |
Pets max out at age 125. Higher age = stronger mutation application rate and ability strength. Pets are obtained from Raphael's Pet Shop and the Pet Eggs Stand. The Jungle Egg contains the most valuable trade commodity pets in the entire economy. To plan your hatches efficiently, browse the full Grow a Garden Eggs List, run the odds in the Egg Calculator, and track age progress with the Pet Leveling Calculator. For high-impact picks, the Red Rose Fox (Friendbound) and Venom pet mutation tier are worth a dedicated look. The Rarest Pets in Grow a Garden roundup covers the long-tail chase targets.
Grow a Garden 2 has its own pet ecosystem with different abilities focused on garden defense, growth speed, and steal mechanics rather than mutation application. Pets are purchased from the map or hatched from eggs, and each carries a passive ability that scales with age. The table below shows the top GAG2 pets by impact.
| Pet | Rarity | Ability | Price (Sheckles) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Unicorn | Mythic | Doubles Rainbow mutation chance (up to x4 at max age) | 12,000,000 |
| Golden Dragonfly | Mythic | Doubles Gold mutation chance (up to x4 at max age) | 9,000,000 |
| Raccoon | Super | Sneaks out at night to steal items from other gardens | 15,000,000 |
| Black Dragon | Super | Eats ripe fruit and lays eggs that hatch into pets | 1,000,000 |
| Ice Serpent | Super | Freezes intruders solid, defending your garden | Guild Reward |
| Bear | Mythic | Tackles and throws intruders out of your garden | 5,000,000 |
| Monkey | Mythic | Harvests ripe fruit automatically for you | 3,000,000 |
| Deer | Rare | Boosts plant growth speed (up to +30% at max age) | 50,000 |
GAG2 pets are purchased directly from the map rather than from an NPC shop, and Super-tier pets like Raccoon and Black Dragon are the hardest to obtain with map spawn rates below 0.25%. The Unicorn and Golden Dragonfly are the most impactful for farming value because they directly multiply Gold and Rainbow mutation chances, which are the highest-value variant types in GAG2. See the GAG2 Beginner Guide for the full pet roster and spawn rates.
Grow a Garden updates on a near-weekly cycle. Every patch can add new mutations, change existing multipliers, or introduce limited-time events with exclusive content. An outdated calculator gives wrong values. Always check the timestamp before relying on any tool's data. For a complete breakdown of every weather type and its mutation, see our All Weather Events Guide. Recurring community events also drive mutation spikes. The Watering Wednesday cycle boosts Wet chance, the Night Staff rotation affects nighttime mutations, and the Black Hole Event is the source of Voidtouched stacks that compound into Abyssal.
| Event / Weather | Mutation | Multiplier | Preparation |
|---|---|---|---|
| Thunderstorm | Shocked | ×100 | Craft Lightning Rod beforehand for guaranteed result |
| Meteor Shower | Celestial | ×120 | One of the best standard events, treat like Blood Moon |
| Heat Wave | Sundried | ×85 | Rare, plant your best seeds the moment it starts |
| Blood Moon | Bloodlit | ×25 | Stockpile single-use seeds; time Blood Kiwi egg hatch |
| Frost (after Rain) | Frozen | ×10 | Pre-wet crops during Rain to get Frozen when Frost follows |
| Bizzy Bee Event | Various | Variable | Limited-time event with exclusive rewards. See the Bizzy Bee Event Guide |
| Admin Abuse Events | Astral, Galactic | Up to ×365 | Triggered live by admins. See the Saturday Admin Abuse schedule and monitor Discord |
Grow a Garden 2 weather events trigger mutations differently from GAG1. Each crop can receive only one weather mutation at a time, and mutations are applied only while the event is live. Weather events in GAG2 also have fixed durations and spawn chances that are independent of server population. The table below covers every confirmed GAG2 weather event and its mutation.
| Weather | Duration | Chance | Mutation / Effect |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rain | 5 min | 33.3% | 2x growth speed, revives all plants |
| Lightning | 5 min | 25% | Electric mutation on crops |
| Rainbow | 5 min | 16.7% | Boosted Rainbow mutation chance, Rainbow Carpet item |
| Snowfall | 2.5 min | 8.3% | Frozen mutation on random crops |
| Starfall | 2 min | 8.3% | Starstruck mutation on random crops |
| Aurora | 2 min | 8.3% | Aurora mutation on random crops |
| Blood Moon | 2 min | 2% | Bloodlit mutation on crops |
| Gold Moon | 2 min | 13% | Spawns Gold Seeds, chance of Midas touch |
| Rainbow Moon | 2 min | 6% | Spawns Rainbow Seeds, chance of Star-Powered status |
| Sunburst | 5 min | 8.3% | Ignited mutation on random crops |
GAG2 weather events run on a fixed rotation with no stacking between them. A crop that picks up an Electric mutation during Lightning cannot receive Frozen during the next Snowfall; it keeps Electric until harvest. This single-mutation rule makes timing critical, since planting right before a high-value event like Gold Moon or Rainbow Moon is far more profitable than planting during Rain. The GAG2 Weather Tracker shows live event status and countdown timers so players never miss a window.
| Shop | NPC | Restock Timer |
|---|---|---|
| Seed Shop | Sam | Every 30 minutes |
| Gear Shop | Eloise | Every 5 minutes |
| Pet Eggs Stand | Raphael | Varies by egg type |
| Alternative Seeds | Tom | Varies by event |
For details on every NPC, what they sell, and where to find them, check the Grow a Garden NPC Guide. Building NPC Friendship unlocks bonus stock and discounts, and timing purchases around NPC Birthdays further boosts restock value. The Weather Tracker shows live restock countdowns so players always know whether to wait or buy now.
With over 35 billion visits, a 22.3 million concurrent user peak, a feature film in development, and a playerbase still growing in 2026, the tools players use to navigate this economy matter more than ever. The MyGaGCalculator gives certainty, so players know what a crop is worth before selling, whether a trade is fair before accepting, and whether to plant or wait before the next event hits.
