This page is a multi-tab pet tool covering the full GAG1 pet roster of 331 pets, egg hatch odds for every egg type, pet trade fairness with a Sheckle verdict, XP leveling estimates, rarity probability planning, value history tracking, and weight scoring. No account or login is required, and everything runs in-browser. For crop values and mutation stacking, use the main Grow a Garden Calculator.
Kitsune is the only T0 pet in the game. It is obtained exclusively from the Zen Egg, steals a Chakra or Foxfire Chakra seed every 10 minutes, and holds the highest trade value in the game as of July 2026. This is [VERIFIED] data. Check the Tier List tab above for current rankings, as values update with each patch.
Raccoon sneaks into nearby gardens every 8 minutes and steals a random item or seed, working passively even while AFK. It pairs with Kitsune in the Zen Egg pool, making Zen Egg hatches valuable even when Kitsune does not drop. Dragonfly applies the Gold mutation (20x) every 5 minutes passively, making it the most consistent non-Prismatic income pet in the game. Disco Bee has a 12% chance to apply the Disco mutation (125x value multiplier) every 20 minutes, and the effect stacks with other mutation types on different crops. Disco Bee also triggers during weather events, which multiplies its output during Storms and Blood Moons.
Empress Bee applies Royal Pollinate, a premium mutation to nearby crops, and Bee pollinates a fruit every 25 minutes for a 3x value boost. Together they form the best pollination support combo in the game. Blood Kiwi uses Blood Harvest, an enhanced harvest with blood-type mutation chance, making it valuable during Blood Moon events when mutation frequency increases. Fox attempts to steal a seed from another player's plot, providing free planting material. Fennec Fox is the upgraded version that adds bonus Sheckles to each desert-themed theft.
Players who equip three DPS pets, like three Dragonflies, get diminishing returns because abilities do not stack between same-pet duplicates in the same slot. The correct build uses complementary roles: one passive income pet, one mutation applicator, and one support utility. Capybara is mandatory for AFK sessions because without it pets stop gaining XP when hunger reaches zero.
Each egg type in Grow a Garden has fixed weighted probabilities for every pet it can produce. The Egg Odds Calculator tab on this page shows exact percentages for every egg. The best egg for mid-game players is the Bug Egg (8,000 Sheckles, common shop egg), which contains Dragonfly at roughly 7.9% hatch chance and Praying Mantis at roughly 28%. The best egg for endgame traders is the Zen Egg, the only source of Kitsune and Raccoon. The Dinosaur Egg works differently: trade any pet with Graham at the DNA Station, wait 1 hour, and receive 1 to 4 eggs in return. T-Rex, Stegosaurus, and Triceratops each have roughly a 33.3% hatch chance from Dinosaur Eggs. Use the Best Egg tab to rank all eggs by expected Sheckle ROI for your current budget.
Weight increases with age and directly reduces ability cooldowns and raises passive success rates. Hatched pets start at 0.88 to 2.20 kg randomly. At age 100, a pet is 10x heavier than at age 1. Weight can be boosted using Brontosaurus, Elephant, Ostrich, or Barn Owl. Use the Weight Calculator tab to score any pet's trade weight tier.
The Mutation Machine costs 500 million Sheckles and requires Level 50. Rolling a mutation resets the pet to Level 1. There is no pity system. The process takes 1 hour and can be skipped for 49 Robux. The Golem pet boosts nearby plant growth passively when equipped. Once a pet is deposited the process cannot be cancelled. Do not roll a pet below Level 80 unless the Sheckle cost of releveling is factored into the decision.
XP scales with rarity. Transcendent pets gain XP roughly 30x faster than Common pets at the same activity rate. Capybara is mandatory for AFK leveling because it prevents hunger drain, allowing XP to accumulate during offline sessions. A full hunger bar lasts approximately 12 hours. Use the Leveling Calculator tab to estimate time from any level to any target.
Grow a Garden 2 (GAG2) launched in June 2026 as a separate game with its own pet system that differs from GAG1 in key ways. Pets in GAG2 interact with the weight and size luck system rather than applying direct mutations to crops. GAG2 pets are obtained from GAG2-specific eggs with different drop pools than GAG1. The single-mutation rule in GAG2 means a crop can only carry one mutation at harvest regardless of how many pets are active, which changes loadout strategy significantly compared to GAG1's stacking approach. This pet calculator covers GAG1 pets only. For GAG2 tools, try the GAG2 Sprinkler Calculator. A dedicated GAG2 pet tracker is in development.
Kitsune is T0 Apex tier as of July 2026, only available from Zen Egg, and steals a Chakra or Foxfire Chakra seed every 10 minutes. For players without Kitsune, Raccoon, Dragonfly, and Disco Bee are the strongest accessible alternatives covering passive income, Gold mutations, and Disco mutations respectively.
Capybara plus Dragonfly plus Disco Bee. Capybara prevents hunger drain, making it mandatory for any AFK session. Dragonfly applies Gold mutation every 5 minutes passively. Disco Bee applies Disco every 20 minutes. Without Capybara, pets stop gaining XP mid-session when hunger reaches zero.
Each egg type uses fixed weighted probabilities per pet. The Egg Odds tab shows exact percentages for every egg. For example, the Legendary Egg gives Cow and Turtle each at roughly 10%, with 50 Legendary pets including Polar Bear, Griffin, and Frost Dragon each at roughly 1.6%.
Same pet in different slots does not stack abilities. Two Dragonflies do not produce Gold mutations twice as fast. Different pets with complementary abilities are always more efficient than duplicates of the same pet.
Garden Ascension costs 1 Trillion Sheckles paid to Orson for 10 Garden Coins. Coins permanently expand pet inventory slots, egg hatch slots, and cosmetic storage. It does not reset the account, only the Sheckle cost is deducted. Ascending multiple times compounds the slot expansions.
