Last Updated: April 2026 · Pet values, egg odds, and tier data sourced from community-verified Roblox Grow A Garden trading data and the official GAG Fandom wiki.
Pet values, egg odds, and tier rankings on this page are sourced from live Roblox Grow A Garden trading data and verified by the mygagcalculator.com team across 330+ pets and 15 egg types. Values are reviewed regularly. Use the Custom Value Override feature to reflect real-time Sheckle prices from your server.
The Grow A Garden Pet Calculator at mygagcalculator.com is a free, all-in-one browser tool for Roblox GAG players who want accurate data before spending a single Sheckle. It covers pet values, trade fairness, egg odds, tier rankings, leveling XP, rarity chances, pet weight scores, mutation probability, and value history, all without switching between sites, spreadsheets, or outdated Discord pins.
This page covers everything the tool includes: egg hatch probabilities, crop mutation multipliers, pet tier rankings, pet mutation chances, AFK farming setups, trade scam patterns, cooldown data, hunger mechanics, and the full pet system explained.
The Pet Browser is the tool's central database, covering all 330+ pets in Grow A Garden currently available on Roblox. Filter by rarity, Common, Uncommon, Rare, Legendary, Mythical, Divine, and Prismatic, and sort by name, Sheckle value, demand, or rarity tier. Each pet card shows its ability, source egg, demand level, and current Sheckle value. Open the full detail panel to edit its value, run a comparison, log price history, or toggle Favourites. For brand-new pets not yet in the database, use the Custom Pet Creator to add them manually with name, rarity, value, and ability.
↑ Open the Pet Browser above to search any pet by name, rarity, or value. See the full pet abilities guide for a deeper breakdown of every pet's passive effect.
The Grow A Garden pet tier list ranks all pets by real Sheckle market value and community demand, not rarity alone. A high-demand Legendary consistently outranks a low-demand Mythical in live trading.
↑ Click any pet in the Tier List above to open its full stats panel and run a trade comparison directly. For a detailed breakdown, see our Grow a Garden pet tier list guide and the rarest pets in Grow a Garden article. For specific pet values, check the Zebrazinkle value guide.
The Egg Odds Calculator shows exact drop probabilities for every pet across all egg types. The Egg Shop refreshes every 30 minutes. Rarer eggs like Bug Egg (3% spawn rate) appear infrequently, check often or pay Robux to refresh. Last verified: April 2026

Enter current level, target level, XP per minute, and pet rarity. The calculator returns total XP required, estimated time, and a level-by-level growth curve. Formula: XP = 100 × level¹·⁵, a power-law curve where each level costs more than the last. At base passive rate (~1–2 XP/sec with full hunger), reaching Level 50 takes roughly 2 weeks without boosters.
| Setup | Estimated Time to Level 50 |
|---|---|
| No booster pets | ~2 weeks |
| Capybara only | ~5–7 days |
| Capybara + Dragonfly AFK | 3–5 days |
| Capybara + Orchid Mantis + Starfish | 1–2 days |
| Active play with XP toys + boosters | Under 24 hours |
↑ Use the Pet Leveling Calculator above, enter your level, target, XP rate, and rarity for an instant time estimate.
Select an egg, choose your target rarity, and enter your Sheckle budget. The calculator returns your single-pull probability, expected eggs needed to hit your target, and total Sheckle cost. Use this before committing to a Zen Egg grind for Kitsune or a Bug Egg grind for Dragonfly, knowing the expected cost prevents Sheckle waste from unrealistic targets.
↑ Run the Pet Rarity Calculator above to see how many eggs you need on average before you start grinding.
Add pets to both sides of any trade. Returns total Sheckle value on each side with a Fair, Overpay, or Underpay verdict and exact difference. Before confirming any trade: run the calculator, check both pets on the Tier List, check Value History on what you are receiving. If anyone pressures you to decide before checking, just walk away.
↑ Add pets to both sides of the Pet Trade Calculator above for an instant Fair / Overpay / Underpay verdict. For full WFL scoring with crops and gear included, use the Grow a Garden Trade Calculator.
Places any two pets side-by-side across value, rarity, demand, ability, and source egg, with highlights on the stronger stat per row. Open any pet in the Pet Browser, click ⚖️ Compare to load Slot A, then open a second pet for Slot B. Use this before any trade where you are uncertain which of two pets is the better hold.
↑ Open any two pets in the Pet Comparison Tool above and click ⚖️ Compare for a full side-by-side breakdown.
Scores any pet on a 0–110 weight scale and estimates its physical weight tier from 🪶 Featherweight to 🐉 Titan. Pet weight is a core mechanic, higher weight directly reduces ability cooldowns and increases passive success rates for most pets.
| Mechanic | Detail |
|---|---|
| Starting weight (hatched eggs) | 0.88 – 2.20 kg (random at hatch) |
| Starting weight (shop/chest pets) | 0.88 – 1.32 kg |
| Weight gain per level | 1/11th of starting weight per age level |
| Weight at age 100 | 10× the weight at age 1 |
| Exceptions | Triceratops and Imp have constant stats regardless of weight |
| Size mutations (Mega, Tiny, Nightmare) | Do NOT change base weight, size is visual only |
How to increase pet weight: Age the pet over time; use Brontosaurus (better hatch weight), Elephant (blesses active pets), Ostrich (ages eggs after hatching), or Barn Owl (boosts store-bought pets). Weight mechanics are documented in detail on the official Grow a Garden wiki. For crop weight calculations, try the Weight Calculator. For gear effects that interact with weight, see the Night Staff guide.
↑ Select any pet in the Pet Weight Calculator above to see its weight score, physical tier, and rarity bonus.
Logs Sheckle prices for any pet over time, up to 20 entries per pet, with trend indicators: ▲ Rising, ▼ Falling, ➜ Stable. Open any pet and click "Log Value" to record a snapshot. Pets trending ▼ Falling being offered at old high prices are the most common passive scam in the community.
↑ Open any pet in the Pet Browser and click "Log Value" to start tracking its price.
Enter your Sheckle budget and sort by Expected Value, Best Possible Pet, or Most Pets Available. Results update automatically. The expected return difference between best and worst eggs for a given budget can be enormous, always check this before spending.
↑ Enter your Sheckle budget in the Best Egg Calculator above to rank all eggs by expected return. For more Sheckle-earning strategies, check out our guide on how to farm coins fast in Grow a Garden. For rare seed strategies, see our Divine Seeds guide.
Export your full pet data as a CSV file for external analysis or backup. Use the Share State feature to generate a link preserving your current trade or comparison setup, useful for getting a second opinion from the community before finalising a deal.
Ability cooldowns reduce as your pet ages and gains weight. Values below reflect base cooldown at low weight. A well-aged, high-weight pet triggers significantly faster.

|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kitsune | Prismatic | Steals a crop; applies Chakra (15x) or Foxfire Chakra (90x) | ~22 min | Passive, always active |
| Corrupted Kitsune | Prismatic | Cursed energy hits 9 fruits; 20.24% each gets Corrupt Chakra or Foxfire Chakra | ~21 min | Boosts own farm directly |
| Raccoon | Mythical | Steals a random fruit from a nearby player | ~10 min | Faster than Kitsune; lower ceiling |

| Triceratops | Legendary | Advances growth of 3 random plants regularly | Every ~3.3 min | Constant stats regardless of weight |
| Brontosaurus | Legendary | Increases starting weight of newly hatched pets | Per hatch | Equip before hatching for max effect |

| Spinosaurus | Legendary | Takes a mutation from one fruit; applies to a random harvested fruit | Per harvest | Pairs with T-Rex for mutation spread |
| Fennec Fox | Mythical | Duplicates a random mutation from another player's farm; applies to your fruit | Every ~22 min | Good alternative to Raccoon |
Pets are passive companions that roam your garden and trigger abilities on cooldown. They are not cosmetic, their abilities directly affect crop growth speed, harvest yield, mutation rates, and Sheckle output. Multiple copies of the same pet stack their abilities.
| Bonus Source | What It Does | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Pet Ability | Passive bonus scaling with level and weight | Up to +30% |
| Event Boost | Temporary Roblox seasonal multiplier | +20% |
| Garden Upgrade | Permanent infrastructure improvement | +15% |
| All Combined | All three active simultaneously | 65%+ output increase |
Hunger is the gating mechanic behind all pet progression. If a pet's hunger bar hits 0%, XP gain stops completely. Abilities keep firing at 0% hunger, but XP gain is fully paused. Starfish is the only pet that gains XP regardless of hunger level.
How to feed pets: Equip any crop from your inventory, walk close to the pet, click it and select "Feed" or use the interact button. Large, rare, or mutated crops restore more hunger. Sugar Apples and Burning Buds restore hunger fastest, use these before any AFK session. A full hunger bar lasts approximately 12 hours.
| Mutation | Hunger Drain Effect |
|---|---|
| Tiny | −20% hunger drain, best for overnight AFK |
| Mega | +20% faster hunger drain, avoid for unattended sessions |
| Nightmare | Similar to Mega, increased drain; plan feeding before logging off |
| All others | Standard drain rate (no modifier) |
Capybara specifics: Each Capybara provides ~3.5 XP/sec to pets within its radius and fully prevents hunger drain. Cluster pets tightly so one or two Capybaras cover all active slots.
Pet inventory & Pet Pouch: Default inventory holds 60 pets. Maximum is 235 total (60 default + 25 gamepasses/trades + 50 Pet Pouches + 100 Ascension). Pet Pouch recipe: Common Egg + Corndog + Small Treat + Small Toy + 50,000,000 Sheckles = +1 slot (up to 50 extra). For a complete list of gear items and their effects, see our Grow a Garden gears list. To calculate Sheckle profit from your farm, use the Profit Calculator.
Mutations stack multiplicatively. A crop with Shocked (100x) and Rainbow (50x) has a combined multiplier of 5,000x its base value. If you want a full breakdown of how the mutation system works, read our Grow a Garden mutations guide and the complete mutations list. To calculate exact mutation values on your crops, use the Mutation Calculator. Only Variant mutations (Gold, Silver, Rainbow, Diamond) cannot stack with each other, one variant per crop only. For crop-specific mutation strategies, see our Candy Blossom guide, Rainbow Carrot guide, and Violet Corn guide.
Formula: Final Value = Base Price × Mutation 1 × Mutation 2 × ... × Mutation N

| Ascended | 0.30% | ~333 rolls | ~333 Billion Sheckles |
AFK farming means leaving the game running passively, usually overnight, and returning to a garden full of mutated, high-value crops. The right setup is the single biggest lever for passive Sheckle generation without active play. For step-by-step AFK instructions, see our Grow a Garden AFK method guide. To level up your pets faster while AFK, check our guide on how to level up fast in Grow a Garden.
| Role | Pet | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Hunger prevention (essential) | Capybara ×1–2 | Prevents all nearby active pets from losing hunger. Without this, pets stop working mid-session and your entire AFK window is wasted |
| Passive mutation income | Dragonfly | Gold variant every 5 minutes with zero input. Most consistent passive Sheckle source at accessible rarity |
| Passive farming boost | Disco Bee | Disco mutation (30x) every 20 minutes passively. No input required |
| XP leveling overnight | Starfish | Self-boosts XP at above-average rate; gains XP even at 0% hunger |
Chinchilla tip: Pair with Dragonfly to force 3× Gold mutation triggers every 40 minutes while offline, tripling passive Gold output.
Garden Ascension (also called Rebirth) is an endgame mechanic where you spend Sheckles in exchange for Garden Coins, a premium currency for permanent upgrades unavailable any other way.
How to ascend: Accumulate at least 1 Trillion Sheckles → find Orson (right of the Selling Merchant) → pay the fee → receive 10 Garden Coins. Cost increases by 2 Trillion per subsequent ascension. For details on all NPCs and what they sell, check the Grow a Garden NPC guide.
| Upgrade | Cost | Max Purchases | Effect |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pet Inventory Capacity | 40 Garden Coins | 10 | +10 pet inventory slots per purchase (100 total) |
| Egg Capacity Upgrade | 40 Garden Coins | 5 | +1 egg hatch slot per purchase |
| Cosmetic Inventory Capacity | 20 Garden Coins | 5 | +10 cosmetic inventory slots per purchase |
| Save Slot Upgrade | 100 Garden Coins | 1 | +1 additional save slot |
Total maximum pet inventory: 60 (default) + 25 (gamepasses/trades) + 50 (Pet Pouches) + 100 (Ascension) = 235 pets maximum.
Event pets are limited-time companions released during seasonal Roblox events. Once an event ends, they can only be obtained via trading, which is why certain event pets command permanent trade premiums. Any event pet whose unique mutation or ability cannot be obtained from non-event pets will hold high post-event trade value indefinitely.
| Pet | Event | Rarity | Key Ability | Post-Event Value |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Headless Horseman | Halloween | Prismatic | Haunts Lv25–50 unmutated pets; grants Nightmare, Dreadbound, or Soulflame mutation | Extremely high, only Nightmare source |
| Easter Bunny | Easter 2026 | Divine | Hides Easter Eggs in garden with effects: Rainbow mutation, Choc mutation, growth advances, pet XP | High during event, moderate post |
| Carnival Elephant | Garden Games | Divine | Small chance to re-trigger any pet's ability after activation (unique pet types only) | High, strong synergy with Kitsune, Raccoon |
| Night Owl | Blood Moon / Lunar | Mythical | All active pets gain additional XP/sec continuously | High, essential for leveling builds |
| Blood Owl | Blood Moon | Above Mythical | Global XP multiplier, stacks with Night Owl | Very high, rarest consistent XP pet |
When a new event pet drops, add it immediately using the Custom Pet Creator so the Trade Calculator and Tier List work with it before the database updates. Use the Value History Tracker to log event pet prices from Day 1. Learn more about current and past events in our Easter event guide and Bizzy Bee event guide. For event-specific currency farming, see our Chocolate Coins farming guide.
A trader insists a low-demand pet "is worth a lot right now" and applies time pressure. Fix: Run both pets through the Trade Calculator. If your side shows Overpay, decline.
Traders offer a high-rarity pet knowing your Legendary has 3× the real Sheckle value. Higher rarity does not mean higher trade value. Fix: Sort by Value in the Pet Browser, not rarity.
"I have 5 people offering, decide now." Time pressure stops you checking values. Legitimate traders always give you time. Fix: 60 seconds to check the Trade Calculator is reasonable. If they refuse, leave. Read our full Grow a Garden scam prevention guide for more patterns to watch for.
A player shows a screenshot with a manually edited pet value. Fix: Never trust screenshots. Check the pet directly in the Pet Browser above.
Old Google Sheets show values from weeks ago. After a nerf, a pet's real value can be a fraction of what old lists show. Fix: Use the Value History Tracker to check price trend direction before accepting.
A trader claims a pet is "unobtainable" to justify an inflated price. Fix: Check the source egg field in the Pet Browser. If a standard egg is listed, the pet is still obtainable.
Kitsune is the best pet in Grow A Garden as of April 2026, the only T0 (Apex) tier pet. It applies a 15x Chakra or 90x Foxfire Chakra mutation to stolen crops and holds the highest trade value in the game. For players who cannot obtain Kitsune, Raccoon, Dragonfly, and Disco Bee are the strongest accessible alternatives.
The Dragonfly turns a random crop Gold (20x multiplier) every 5 minutes passively. It is a Divine pet from Bug Eggs (~1% hatch chance) and the most consistent passive income pet at non-Prismatic rarity.
The Queen Bee applies the Pollinated mutation (3x crop value) every ~20 minutes and refreshes the cooldown of the pet with the longest timer every ~22–23 minutes, the best support utility pet for high-cooldown builds.
Each egg type has a fixed weighted probability for every pet it can produce. The Legendary Egg gives Cow 42.55%, Silver Monkey 42.55%, Sea Otter 10.64%, and Turtle/Polar Bear 2.13% each. The Egg Odds Calculator above shows exact probabilities for all egg types.
Bug Egg (50M Sheckles, 3% shop spawn rate) offers the best expected value for mid-game players, contains Dragonfly, Praying Mantis, and Giant Ant. For endgame traders, Zen Egg is the only source of Kitsune and Raccoon.
Use the Pet Trade Calculator above. Add all pets from both sides, the tool returns a Fair, Overpay, or Underpay verdict with the exact Sheckle difference. Cross-check both pets on the Tier List before confirming.
Default inventory holds 60 pets. Maximum is 235 total with Pet Pouches, Garden Ascension upgrades, and gamepasses. Active garden equip slots default to 3 and expand to 8.
Pet mutations are stat upgrades applied via the Mutation Machine (500M Sheckles, Level 50 required). They change the pet's XP rate, hunger drain, size, or unlock a secondary passive ability. Rolling resets the pet to Level 1 with no pity system.
No. Once a pet is deposited the process cannot be cancelled. It completes in 1 hour and can be skipped for 49 Robux. The Golem pet speeds up the process if equipped.
Ascension is where you spend 1 Trillion Sheckles with Orson to receive 10 Garden Coins, used to permanently expand pet inventory slots, egg hatch slots, and cosmetic storage. It does not reset your account.
When you sell a pet, the Seal mechanic gives a 2% chance of receiving the original source egg back in your inventory. Entirely passive, no item or equipment required.
Pet weight increases as a pet ages and directly reduces ability cooldowns and increases passive success rates. Hatched pets start between 0.88–2.20 kg randomly. A pet at age 100 is 10x heavier than at age 1.
Trade any pet with Graham at the DNA Station, takes 1 hour and returns 1–4 Dinosaur Eggs. T-Rex 0.5%, Brontosaurus 1%, Pterodactyl 3%, Stegosaurus 28%, Triceratops 32.5%, Raptor 35%.
Capybara (prevents hunger drain) + Dragonfly (Gold every 5 min) + Disco Bee (Disco 30x every 20 min). Capybara is non-negotiable, without it pets stop working mid-session. Feed with Sugar Apples before logging off.
