| Event | GAG2 Admin Party + Fall Harvest Update |
| Date | August 1, 2026 (confirmed) |
| Time | To be announced on official GAG2 Discord |
| Host | Jandel (confirmed returning to GAG2) |
| Server type | Public servers only |
| Update name | Fall Harvest Update |
| Status as of July 26 | Confirmed. No start time announced yet. |
For months after Grow a Garden 2 launched on June 12, 2026, the developers said it clearly: traditional Admin Abuse events would never happen in this game. Then on July 24, 2026, Jandel posted in the official Grow a Garden 2 Discord: “Go gold. GAG 2’s biggest update drops August 1st. Yes I’m going to do the admin party.” The post pulled over 14,000 reactions in the first 15 minutes.
That reversal is the whole story. What follows is everything players need before August 1: what Admin Party actually is, what the Fall Harvest Update actually contains (confirmed crops, new pets spotted in files, the full trading system, guild crates, and the auction system), how Pizza Moon works and why it matters, the preparation checklist, live event strategy, and what to do the day after. The GAG2 Event Tracker will update the moment a confirmed start time drops.
Admin Party is the Grow a Garden 2 replacement for Admin Abuse. It is a live developer event where the game team joins public servers and triggers special activity that does not happen in normal gameplay. This can include rare weather events like Blood Moon or Sunburst, direct seed drops, shop restocks with high-tier seeds, exclusive pet spawns, developer messages sent to the whole server, and minigames that reward players present in the session.
The community still calls it “admin abuse,” a nickname carried over from Grow a Garden 1 where it became iconic. The developers prefer “Admin Party” because the new design philosophy is lighter, less predictable, and less economically disruptive than the fixed weekly events GAG1 players were used to. The lead developer for Grow a Garden 2 is Adrien, known in-game as BMWLux.
Jandel, who built GAG1 and hosted most of its admin sessions, has stayed focused on the original game since GAG2 launched. His July 24 announcement confirms he is returning to GAG2 specifically to host the August 1 Fall Harvest Admin Party. For active status on every current event running in GAG2 right now, including weather events, guild competition windows, and admin sessions, the GAG2 Event Tracker monitors all of them in real time.
The Admin Party is the headline, but the Fall Harvest Update arriving on August 1 is the larger story. This is the biggest content drop since GAG2 launched. Verified data below is separated by category, with each item’s confirmation status clearly marked.
| Crop | Rarity | Key Detail | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Briar Rose | Mythical | Unreleased multi-harvest crop. Seed cost reported at approximately 50,000,000 Sheckles. Has been ready for two update cycles. | Confirmed in testing — spotted in files since launch |
| Romanesco | Unconfirmed | Leaked by developers. Seen tested with Electric, Gold, and Rainbow mutations. Strong mutation potential. | Confirmed in files |
| Thorn Rose | Unconfirmed | Bamboo redesign variant with thorns. Separate from Briar Rose. | Confirmed in testing |
| Pumpkin | Unconfirmed | Single-harvest crop. Likely tied to the Fall Harvest event mechanic. | Confirmed in files — single-harvest confirmed |
| Lotus | Mythical (likely) | Multi-harvest. Average sell value estimated at 6,500 Sheckles at base weight per community data. | Confirmed in testing |
| Conifer Cone | Unconfirmed | Design reportedly closer to GAG1-era event crops. High collector potential. | High confidence — spotted in files |
| Beanstalk | Secret rarity | Returning iconic GAG1 crop. Unreleased in GAG2. Single or multi-harvest unconfirmed. | Confirmed in files |
| Buttercup | Unconfirmed | Spotted alongside Brier Rose and Romanesco in testing data. | Spotted in files |
Bone Blossom is not expected. Community analysis flags it as a decoy name that does not match the real crop naming pattern used in GAG2 development.
On Briar Rose specifically: the 50M Sheckle figure is its seed cost to purchase, not its sell value. The GAG2 wiki lists its base sell value at approximately 4,000 Sheckles per harvest at average weight, which ranks it around fifth among all current GAG2 crops by sell value. At 50M to buy, this seed requires strong multi-harvest output or significant mutations to justify the cost. Do not spend the full Sheckle bank on it at launch without testing one first. For a live comparison of how Briar Rose stacks up against Dragon’s Breath, Star Fruit, and other top-tier crops by actual sell value, use the GAG2 Crops and Values Guide.
On Romanesco: this is arguably the smarter buy. Community testing shows it has appeared with Electric, Gold, and Rainbow mutations in dev testing. A crop with strong mutation affinity can outperform a higher-base-value crop on actual Sheckle income, especially when paired with Blood Moon or Sunburst weather. Check the GAG2 Mutation Calculator to model Romanesco’s expected value against current top crops once its base price is confirmed.
| Pet | Details | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Turkey | Gameplay ability unconfirmed. Community speculation: drops rare seeds on kills or harvests. | Confirmed in files |
| Wolf | Gameplay ability unconfirmed. Community speculation: moonrise summons mechanic. | Confirmed in files |
| Fox | Gameplay ability unconfirmed. Suspected night-time seed-stealing passive based on file data. | Spotted in files |
| Shadow Dragon | Likely Super guild reward tier. Suspected Veil mutation passive on nearby crops. | Spotted in files |
Ability details and pricing for all four pets are not confirmed. This table will update the moment confirmed in-game data is available. For all current live pets, their confirmed abilities, prices, and spawn rates, the GAG2 Pet Calculator is updated for every new addition.
On Shadow Dragon: if the Veil mutation passive functions as suspected, this pet generates passive mutation value across the garden every farming session. Mutation pets with passive procs have consistently held their value in GAG2 long after launch hype fades. The correct move is to acquire one early if it appears, test the passive over several sessions, and hold rather than trading within the first 24 hours.
On Turkey and Wolf: community analysis from ggwtb.com notes that if Turkey drops rare seeds, it becomes a long-term income multiplier rather than a one-time purchase. Wolf’s value depends entirely on whether its moonrise mechanic generates collectible rare drops or simply functions as a defensive pet. Do not commit significant Sheckles to either until ability confirmation arrives.
Pizza Moon has existed in GAG2 game files since launch on June 12, 2026. Community analysis across multiple sources confirms it was built specifically for Admin Party events and has never activated in-game because no full Admin Party has occurred until now. August 1 is the first realistic opportunity for Pizza Moon to fire. The exact multiplier is confirmed in the game’s files at 5x, with an orange aura visual effect on affected crops.
For context, this places it below the current top live multipliers — Bloodlit at 70x, Starstruck at 50x, and Electric at 25x — but the key factor is not the multiplier itself. It is the scarcity. Crops carrying the Pizza mutation after August 1 will be the first ever to hold it in GAG2 history, which gives them collector and trade value far above what a raw 5x would normally imply. The GAG2 Mutations Guide confirms Pizza, Solar Flare, and Chained as the three admin-exclusive unreleased mutations, all present in game files with confirmed multipliers.
The critical preparation rule: Pizza Moon is a night-cycle event. It does not fire during daytime server phases. Crops must be ripe and in the ground during the night phase of the event window to receive the Pizza mutation. Crops in inventory cannot receive mutations. Dragon Pepper, Moon Melon, Cosmic Carrot, and Star Fruit are the priority targets based on their multi-harvest nature and base sell value. The GAG2 Mutation Calculator lets players model exact Sheckle output for any crop once the Pizza multiplier is active.
The three new systems arriving with the Fall Harvest Update are arguably more important to the long-term economy than any single crop or pet.
Staff Weather Wand, Grappling Hook, Magic Dice, and Fruit Magnet have been spotted in testing. Their exact functions and pricing are not confirmed. Based on community analysis: Fruit Magnet pulls nearby harvested crops toward the player, which is a strong quality-of-life tool for large gardens. Magic Dice likely rerolls RNG outcomes such as mutations, weather odds, or crate rewards. Do not spend significantly on either until effects are verified in live servers.
The developers officially confirmed early in GAG2’s life that traditional Admin Abuse would not return. The reason was direct: in Grow a Garden 1, weekly Admin Abuse events caused serious economy inflation. Rare mutations became too easy to obtain, progression lost meaning for players who farmed every session, and a large segment of the community started treating the game as a weekly login rather than an ongoing experience. GAG2 was designed to break that cycle through smaller content drops spread across the week, a healthier shop restock economy, and a balanced long-term progression system.
Both games continue to run side by side. GAG1 still runs its own Admin Abuse events on the existing Saturday and Wednesday schedule. Players who want the predictable weekly format can continue playing GAG1. The full GAG1 Admin Events Schedule covers every GAG1 admin event time zone and preparation checklist for anyone still active there. What changed for GAG2 is the scale and framing. August 1 is not a return to the weekly model. It is a singular, high-intensity event tied to the Fall Harvest Update, officially named Admin Party to signal that distinction from the old system.
Three different phrases are currently in use for three different things, and the confusion is real across Discord, Reddit, and search.
| Feature | GAG1 Admin Abuse | GAG2 Admin Party | GAG2 Watering Wednesday / ADMIN ABUSE |
|---|---|---|---|
| Schedule | Fixed (Saturday + Wednesday weekly) | No fixed schedule, surprise-based | No confirmed weekly pattern |
| Frequency | Every week | Infrequent, tied to major updates | Occurred July 15, 2026 |
| Duration | 1 hour approx. | Expected similar, unconfirmed | 30 minutes confirmed |
| Host | Jandel and Jhailatte | Jandel (August 1); Adrien (BMWLux) ongoing | Adrien (BMWLux) |
| Advance notice | 15 to 30 minutes via Discord | Minimal, Discord only | Minimal, Discord only |
| Server type | Public servers only | Public servers only | Public servers only |
| Economy impact | High, weekly market resets | Designed to be lower impact | Small scale, confirmed limited |
| Current status | Active and running | Confirmed August 1, 2026 | Has occurred; no confirmed next date |
The community nickname “Admin Party” refers to the broader admin event system in GAG2. The schedule labels the short midweek sessions as “Watering Wednesday / ADMIN ABUSE.” The big August 1 event is what everyone means when they search “GAG2 Admin Party.” All three are developer-run events on public servers only. Players who miss this distinction and log into a private server on August 1 will miss the event entirely. The GAG2 Private Server Guide explains exactly what private servers do and do not receive during live events.
The first official Admin Party in GAG2 history is confirmed for August 1, 2026, paired with the Fall Harvest Update. The only admin-style events that have occurred in GAG2 before this were the Watering Wednesday / ADMIN ABUSE sessions on July 8 and July 15, 2026, each lasting 30 minutes.
No exact start time within August 1 has been announced. GAG2 updates have typically dropped around 8:30 PM UTC historically. Based on how Jandel ran GAG1 admin events, the most common window was evening Pacific Time. Neither figure is confirmed for August 1. The table below uses 8:30 PM UTC as the planning anchor, since that matches the closest available GAG2 update pattern.
| Region | Estimated Local Time | UTC Offset |
|---|---|---|
| US West (PT) | Aug 1, ~1:30 PM | UTC-7 (PDT) |
| US East (ET) | Aug 1, ~4:30 PM | UTC-4 (EDT) |
| UK (BST) | Aug 1, ~9:30 PM | UTC+1 (BST) |
| Central EU (CEST) | Aug 1, ~10:30 PM | UTC+2 (CEST) |
| Pakistan (PKT) | Aug 2, ~1:30 AM | UTC+5 (PKT) |
| India (IST) | Aug 2, ~2:00 AM | UTC+5:30 (IST) |
| Philippines (PHT) | Aug 2, ~4:30 AM | UTC+8 (PHT) |
| Australia (AEST) | Aug 2, ~6:30 AM | UTC+10 (AEST) |
All times above are estimates based on the 8:30 PM UTC pattern. The real start time will be posted in the official Discord announcements channel before the event begins. This guide updates the moment that post goes live. For live event tracking between now and August 1, the GAG2 Weather Tracker monitors active events in real time.
The following table covers every confirmed admin-style event in Grow a Garden 2 since launch on June 12, 2026.
| Date | Event Name | Time (ET) | Duration | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| July 15, 2026 | Watering Wednesday / ADMIN ABUSE | 6:00 PM | 30 minutes | First confirmed GAG2 admin-style event. Public servers only. Preceded the August 1 Fall Harvest Admin Party by 24 days. |
| July 15, 2026 | Watering Wednesday / ADMIN ABUSE | 6:00 PM | 30 minutes | Second confirmed GAG2 admin session. Public servers only. Preceded the August 1 Fall Harvest Admin Party by 17 days. |
| August 1, 2026 | Fall Harvest Admin Party | To be announced | Unconfirmed | GAG2 first full Admin Party. Jandel confirmed as host. Pizza Moon mutation expected to activate for the first time. Fall Harvest Update included. |
This table updates the moment additional sessions are confirmed or the August 1 start time is announced.
Pizza Moon has existed in GAG2 game files since launch and has never fired in a live server because no full Admin Party has run until now. Multiple independent sources confirm it was built specifically for admin sessions. The mutation itself carries a confirmed 5x multiplier with an orange aura visual effect on affected crops. For full context on all unreleased mutations in the game, the GAG2 Mutations Guide covers Pizza, Chained, and Solar Flare with their confirmed multipliers and expected activation methods.
The key facts: Pizza Moon is a night-cycle event only. It does not fire during daytime server phases. The visual description from community data shows the moon transforms into a giant pizza shape with floating ingredient visual effects spreading across the map. Only crops that are ripe and in the ground during the event window can receive the Pizza mutation. Crops in the player’s inventory cannot receive mutations, which is the same rule that applies to Blood Moon and every other mutation weather in GAG2.
Why does this matter beyond the 5x multiplier? Any crop carrying the Pizza mutation after August 1 will be the first in GAG2 history to hold it. The first-generation scarcity of admin-exclusive mutations in GAG1 meant those crops traded for multiples of their raw multiplier value because of their rarity as a class of item. Pizza-mutated crops from August 1 are likely to carry the same premium in the GAG2 economy. The GAG2 Mutation Calculator models exact sell values for any crop and mutation combination, which is the right tool to use once Pizza Moon’s proc rate is confirmed after the event.
The same logic applies to Solar Flare and Chained Moon, the other two admin-exclusive unreleased mutations confirmed in GAG2’s game data. Solar Flare carries a 5x multiplier. Chained Moon carries a 4x to 8x range depending on source. Both are expected to appear during admin sessions, though neither is guaranteed for August 1 specifically.

The only confirmed GAG2 admin-style events before August 1 were the two Watering Wednesday sessions on July 8 and July 15, 2026. Each ran for 30 minutes on public servers. No full Admin Party with confirmed rewards, specific weather sequences, or multipliers has occurred yet in GAG2. The August 1 event is the first.
The following is based on how Admin Abuse worked in Grow a Garden 1. None of the specifics below are confirmed for GAG2. This section will be updated with verified data after the August 1 event occurs.
Based on GAG1 precedent, admin events included back-to-back special weather events that applied high-value mutations to ripe crops, instant Seed Shop restocks of out-of-stock Legendary and Mythical seeds that normally never appear, direct global messages from the developer announcing what is happening, exclusive pet spawns, and short-window minigames with item rewards. GAG2 Admin Party may follow a similar pattern, but the developers have indicated it will be less economically impactful than weekly GAG1 Admin Abuse. Specific reward lists or multipliers should not be treated as confirmed until the event happens.
The most important GAG2-specific mechanic to track during the event is the Shop. Admin sessions in GAG1 caused emergency restocks of seeds that normally sat at zero stock. If the same happens in GAG2 on August 1, Briar Rose, Romanesco, and Beanstalk could appear in the Seed Shop for minutes before selling out. Checking the shop every few minutes during the event is not optional — it is the primary income action for any player without those seeds already. For mutation value tracking during any weather event that fires on August 1, the GAG2 Weather Tracker shows every active event and its associated multipliers in real time.
Once the event is live, the goal is to stay active, stay in position, and not second-guess the session mid-event.
Stay in the server. Server-hopping to find “better” servers during the event is almost always a mistake. Admin activity does not hit every public server simultaneously, and leaving a server that already has developer presence means starting from zero in a new one.
Watch for the signals. Admin activity announces itself through global server messages, sudden unusual weather transitions, shop rotation changes, and the appearance of high-tier seeds in the seed shop. When any of these appear, stop everything and monitor the shop and garden at the same time.
Shop behavior during Admin Party. Based on GAG1 precedent, shop restocks during admin sessions can rotate faster than the standard timer. Check the seed shop, gear shop, and event shops every few minutes rather than on the standard cycle. High-value seeds that appear will sell out within minutes.
Plant immediately on weather triggers. If Blood Moon, Sunburst, or another high-multiplier weather event fires during the session, crops need to already be in the ground. Plant the highest-value multi-harvest seeds available and activate all sprinklers immediately. The current highest live multipliers in GAG2 are Bloodlit at 70x (Blood Moon), Starstruck at 50x (Starfall), and Ignited at 60x (Sunburst). Note that multipliers do not stack in GAG2 — a new mutation replaces the existing one on a crop. Clear low-value mutations from crops before a high-multiplier event fires.
Watch the night cycle for Pizza Moon. Stay active during night phases throughout the event window. Any ripe crops in the ground during a Pizza Moon activation have a chance to land the Pizza mutation, the first available in GAG2 history.
Hold new items during the event. Do not trade or sell new pets, seeds, or event drops while the Admin Party is running. First-hour prices for anything new are always inaccurate. The market needs testing data to price correctly, and that data does not exist during the event.

Wait before trading new drops. Prices for any item that appeared during or alongside the Admin Party will be unstable for at least 24 to 48 hours. Players who received Shadow Dragon, Turkey, Wolf, or Fox, or who landed Pizza mutations on crops, should not rush to trade or sell. First-hour sellers consistently receive the worst prices of the entire post-event cycle.
Check every crop for mutations. Weather events that fired during the Admin Party may have landed mutations on crops that were still growing at the time. Walk through every plot after the event and check for Pizza, Bloodlit, Ignited, or Starstruck mutations before selling anything at base price.
Reassess trade offers. Offers made before August 1 based on pre-event values may no longer be accurate. New pets shift what counts as fair for rare items, and new seeds change which crops are worth growing. Do not accept or decline trades made before August 1 without re-checking values after the update.
Monitor the stock tracker. New seeds and items introduced on August 1 will begin appearing in the regular shop rotation after the update. The GAG2 Event Tracker shows current shop status and weather events in real time, making it the best tool for catching restock windows on new seeds in the days following August 1.
Evaluate the trading system. The new trade system launching on August 1 with Trade Tokens and the Traveling Trader NPC will immediately change what fair trade looks like for almost every item in the game. Before making any significant trade in the first week after the update, check real market values with the GAG2 Trade Calculator.

For GAG1 veterans arriving in GAG2, the differences matter more than the similarities.
| Aspect | GAG1 Admin Abuse | GAG2 Admin Party |
|---|---|---|
| Weekly pattern | Yes, Saturday primary + Wednesday | No — August 1 is the first, next date unknown |
| Predictability | High — players plan weeks ahead | Low — surprise-based, Discord-only notice |
| Economy impact | High — weekly market resets | Designed lower — less frequent, lower volume |
| Duration | 1 hour approx. | Unconfirmed for GAG2 |
| Admin-exclusive mutations | Available in GAG1 | Pizza Moon (5x), Solar Flare (5x), Chained Moon (4-8x) — all unreleased in GAG2 until August 1 |
| Mutation stacking | Stacks possible in some variants | Does NOT stack in GAG2 — new mutation replaces old |
| Electric multiplier | 100x (Shocked) | 25x (Electric) — do not apply GAG1 expectations |
| Blood Moon multiplier | 4x (Bloodlit) | 70x (Bloodlit) — dramatically higher in GAG2 |
| Direct item drops | Common | Unconfirmed for GAG2 |
| Private server parity | No effect | No effect |
Two numbers in that table deserve specific attention. GAG2 Electric at 25x and GAG2 Bloodlit at 70x are not the same as their GAG1 equivalents. GAG1 veterans who chase Lightning events and ignore Blood Moon are using the wrong priority order for GAG2. In GAG2, Blood Moon is the primary high-value weather target, not Lightning. For the complete GAG1 Admin Abuse schedule including every time zone and preparation checklist, see the GAG1 Admin Events Schedule.
The Fall Harvest Update is the name of the August 1, 2026 GAG2 content drop, confirmed as the biggest update since the game launched on June 12, 2026. It introduces new crops including Briar Rose at Mythical rarity with a reported seed cost of approximately 50 million Sheckles, a full trading system with a Traveling Trader NPC and a new Trade Tokens currency, guild crates with a weekly restock cycle, an auction system with top-row UI placement, new pets including Turkey and Wolf confirmed in files, and the first official Admin Party event hosted by Jandel. No specific start time has been announced as of July 26, 2026.
Pizza Moon is a mutation event that has existed in GAG2 game files since launch but has never activated in-game because no Admin Party has occurred until now. August 1 is expected to be the first time Pizza Moon fires in a live server. The confirmed multiplier is 5x, with an orange aura visual effect on affected crops. Based on the pattern of admin-exclusive mutations in GAG2, Pizza-mutated crops from August 1 are expected to carry significant collector and trade value above what the raw multiplier implies, due to their status as the first ever in the game’s history.
No. The developers officially confirmed that traditional Admin Abuse will not return in Grow a Garden 2. In its place, GAG2 has Admin Party, designed to occur less frequently and without a fixed weekly schedule. The August 1 event is the first official Admin Party in GAG2 history. Grow a Garden 1 continues running its own Admin Abuse events on the existing Saturday and Wednesday schedule.
The first ever Admin Party in Grow a Garden 2 is confirmed for August 1, 2026, paired with the Fall Harvest Update. It will be hosted by Jandel. The exact start time has not been announced as of July 26, 2026. Announcements are made on the official GAG2 Discord with minimal advance notice. Enable notifications for the announcements channel to catch it the moment it drops.
Admin Party is the Grow a Garden 2 replacement for Admin Abuse. It is a live developer event where the game team joins public servers and triggers rare weather events, seed drops, shop restocks, developer global messages, and other in-game surprises. Unlike GAG1 Admin Abuse which ran on a fixed weekly schedule, Admin Party is designed to appear infrequently and without a predictable timetable. The August 1 event is the first.
Jandel is hosting the August 1, 2026 Admin Party. The lead developer for Grow a Garden 2 is Adrien, known in-game as BMWLux. Jandel primarily focuses on Grow a Garden 1 but returned specifically to host the first GAG2 Admin Party alongside the Fall Harvest Update.
No. Admin Party events happen on public servers only. Private servers do not receive developer visits or event effects during Admin Party sessions. Players must be in a public server before any announcement lands. The GAG2 Private Server Guide explains exactly what private and public servers do and do not receive during live events.
The developers removed Admin Abuse from GAG2 to protect the in-game economy and maintain balanced long-term progression. In Grow a Garden 1, weekly Admin Abuse events caused economy inflation, made rare mutations too easy to obtain, and reduced the meaning of player progression over time. GAG2 is designed to avoid those problems through smaller content drops and a healthier economy structure.
Test one before buying in bulk. Briar Rose is a Mythical multi-harvest crop with a reported seed cost of approximately 50 million Sheckles. Its base sell value is around 4,000 Sheckles per harvest at average weight, which places it fifth among current GAG2 crops by sell value. At 50M seed cost, the math only works if the harvest cycle, mutation affinity, and huge-variant chance justify the investment. Buy one at launch, test it across several harvests, and then decide whether to scale. The GAG2 Crops and Values Guide will update with Briar Rose data as soon as it is verified in live servers.
Watering Wednesday is a smaller admin-style session that has run twice in GAG2 history: July 8 and July 15, 2026, each lasting 30 minutes from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM ET. It is labeled “ADMIN ABUSE” on the in-game schedule. It is smaller in scale than a full Admin Party and operates on the same public-server-only rule. There is no confirmed regular weekly pattern for Watering Wednesday in GAG2.
Hold first. Items that arrive or drop during or alongside the August 1 Fall Harvest Admin Party will have inaccurate first-hour prices. This applies to Shadow Dragon, Turkey, Wolf, Fox, Briar Rose, Romanesco, and any Pizza-mutated crops. Wait 24 to 48 hours for community testing data to establish real market values. The GAG2 Trade Calculator will help evaluate fair value once the market stabilizes.
No. Admin Party rewards are given for free to players present in a public server during the event. Being online in a public server when the developer is active is the only requirement.
